With hard work and solid ideals, Gregory Packett founded the company from scratch with the purchase of his first real estate property at age 21. His hands-on attention to detail and no-nonsense personality brought enough success for him to build his first house a mere two years later.
Since then Packet Properties has blossomed into a thriving real estate company, offering an array of services that include new home building, property development, specialized waterfront property offerings and the management of commercial and rental properties. Each and every service is overseen with the same acute attention to detail and care that launched Packett Properties to success from the beginning.

A lifelong resident of Virginia’s Northern Neck, Gregory Packett is the founder and president of Packett Builders, a trusted name in commercial and residential real estate development throughout the Northern Neck and Middle Peninsula. With three decades of hands-on experience, Gregory has played a pivotal role in shaping the region’s growth through quality craftsmanship, integrity, and a deep commitment to community growth.

With more than three decades of experience, Gregory has spearheaded a series of landmark developments that have shaped the Northern Neck and Middle Peninsula including Tappahannock’s Poplar Springs Subdivision, NN Burger Restaurant, Warsaw’s Midtowne Crossing, Town Center Village, The Landing at Totuskey Creek, and Main Street Apartments, King William’s Pine Crest Subdivision, as well as the restoration of several historic buildings in downtown Warsaw, now revitalized as thriving commercial spaces.
Driven by a passion for progress and community well-being, he continues to seek new opportunities that enhance local living and support economic vitality across the region.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Gregory serves as a Counselor in the Mechanicsville Stake Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where he helps oversee the welfare and spiritual growth of approximately 2,500 members of his congregation. His commitment to serve extends to the broader community through community outreach events, including the annual Operation Inasmuch service project, and other service-based initiatives.
Above all, Gregory values faith, family, and community. He resides in Tappahannock, Virginia, with his wife and two children, and remains dedicated to pursuing projects that strengthen and enrich the region he proudly calls home.
